With Season 3 Reloaded just around the corner, Call of Duty has done its usual reveal of the roadmap, highlighting what's in store for Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 players in the latest mega update.

Warzone players have been less than impressed by the roadmap, criticising the developers for "forgetting Urzikstan" and the wider battle royale mode, in favour of pouring resources into Resurgence.

But even Resurgence's new features are now drawing attention, as the latest field upgrade to arrive appears to be taken straight out of Apex Legends' playbook.

Season 3 Reloaded is bringing in two new field upgrades, one of which is named "Enhanced Vision Goggles" and appears to be quite similar to something taken from Apex's favourite hunter Bloodhound.

The description reads, "Toggle on the Enhanced Vision Goggles for improved target acquisition in the midst of battle. The goggles feature limited battery, displayed by the Field Upgrade charge which depletes as the gadget is in use."

Sound familiar? Apex Legends fans will think so.

What this sounds like is Bloodhound's Ultimate ability, Beast of the Hunt, which allows players to track enemies with an almost thermal-like look highlighting Operators with a different colour. Pair this field upgrade with the Tracker perk to grant the footsteps too, and the Bloodhound arc is basically complete.

You could also argue that this upgrade is quite similar to that of XDefiant's Echelon faction, whose characters have goggles that highlight enemies too.

Alongside this upgrade, players can also find a second new addition in the EMD Mine, another tracking device for players that reveals the nearby positions of players on the minimap akin to a UAV, which will be immensely popular on Resurgence maps like Rebirth Island.

The field upgrades are launching in Warzone as of Season 3 Reloaded, which kicks off on May 1.
