You've got to hand it to Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa, she definitely knows how to reinvent herself to remain at the top of Twitch. As one of the biggest Twitch streamers, Amoruanth earns a small fortune from her streams - but is still behind German DJ Anika "Sintica" F. as the platform's highest-paid female streamer.

We're not really sure what Amouranth does on her streams, but whether it's splashing around in hot tubs or delivering seductive ASMR, she continues to be a cornerstone of Twitch. Despite repeated bans (that haven't stuck), Amouranth's divisive nature hasn't stopped her from being one step ahead of the curve.

Twitch has just unveiled a new category, and surprise surprise, it didn't take long for Amouranth to monopolise it. The "Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos" sounds like a wholesome place to chat about all things Mother Nature, but in a bizarre twist, there's Amoruanth at the top of it. Seriously, where is David Attenborough?

Way back when, Twitch's only non-gaming category was IRL. That soon grew to discussions on music, movies, and the likes of the "Pools, Beaches, and Hot Tubs" - which led to the now-infamous Hot Tub Meta. Amouranth and others including Natalia "Alinity" Mogollon and Jenelle "Indiefoxx" Dagres coined the seeming loophole in Twitch's family-friendly persona.

Now, she's back to find a new niche to capitalise on. Amouranth is no stranger to streaming from a stable, however, it's now helped her overtake "Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos". Most of the category's videos are just cameras filming baby animals in their natural habitats, but Amoruanth's stable stream clocked up 8,000 viewers and sat comfortably at the top of the category.

What's Next For Twitch's Horse Meta?

It's surely only a matter of time before other streamers are clip-clopping out into the countryside to stream from animal-based locales. It's also not hard to imagine Amoruanth, Alinity, Indiefoxx, and the rest will be donning sexy animal outfits and crawling on the floor before long.

Fellow streamer Esfand joked that Twitch has (once again) created a category just for Amouranth. "Did they really make a new category for Amouranth, too? Are you serious? Again, I mean?" he chuckled. "They really made Amouranth a new category again. You've got to be kidding me, man. First hot tubs and now this."

To be fair to Amouranth, she has previously confessed her love of animals to Kotaku and explained how she'd love to open an animal sanctuary one day. There are sure to be those whose noses are out of joint that Amouranth has already taken over another new category. Well, you know you have to get up early to beat Siragusa.
