You'll want to know where to find and how to activate the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower, as it will unlock a good chunk of the map to make traversal easier.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom follows the formula set in Breath of the Wild in many ways, particularly when it comes to towers, as they remove fog from portions of the map so you can get a better look at Hyrule as a whole.

So, if you want to track down the Thyphlo Ruins in Tears of the Kingdom, read on below for an explanation of how to solve this Skyview Tower in the game.

The Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower is the most northern Skyview Tower and can be found north of the Lost Woods. Here's how to get there:

  • From the south, go around the Lost Woods on the west side of Central Hyrule.
  • You can follow the road from Lookout Landing towards the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower, but continue north and then east when the road forks.
  • The road will bring you alongside the Drenan Highlands chasm.
  • Keep going to reach the Thyphlo Ruins, where the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower is found.

Once you've located Thyphlo Ruins in Tears of the Kingdom, you'll want to know how to progress.

When you reach the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower you will meet Bilson, who tells you the tower isn't functioning. Something is preventing it from working, but they are not sure what it is. A quick glance upward will tell you there is something amiss at the top of the tower.

Several Zonai platforms are floating around near the top of the tower, with one sitting right on the roof, preventing it from opening. You need to get up to the top of the tower and move that platform out of the way.

There are multiple ways to do this, but the simplest solution is found to the left of the tower:

  • Bring one of the lower platforms down to ground level.
  • Attach some of the nearby rockets to the side of the platform, pointing up.
  • Then use the platform to propel yourself up to the top of the tower.

Jump off, glide to the tower, and then use Ultrahand to move the problem platform out of the way. Once done, return to Bilson to activate the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower and get another piece of the map.

Make sure you check out all Elden Shrine locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom while you're here to get some Lights of Blessing.
