While playing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will be regularly picking up new weapons, shields, and bows. Your inventory space can fill up pretty quickly, making increasing the amount you can carry an early priority in the game - so here's how to do it alongside a Korok Seeds price list to make way for even more loot in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Increasing your inventory in the game

In order to increase your inventory capacity, you will need to visit Hestu at one of three locations. The first place he can be found is near Lindor's Brow. From the New Serenne Stable, follow the road northwest. When it forks left and right, continue straight ahead up the hill.

  • You will find Hestu cowering in fear of some "scary trees". These trees are Evermeans, aggressive monstrous trees that attack when you get close. They are susceptible to the same dangers that regular trees are, so chop them with an axe or set them on fire. Once they are defeated, speak to Hestu.
  • He will offer to increase your inventory space in exchange for Korok Seed, and will mention wanting to go somewhere to the east where people are. Once you purchase two inventory upgrades from him, he will move to Lookout Landing. Head there and you will consistently find him in the southeast of the settlement, beside a tree.

Hestu also appears at a third location, although you will need to do some work to get him there. When you go to the Lost Woods, you will find the Great Deku Tree corrupted by the Gloom. We go into detail about how to do so in our guide on how to get the Master Sword, but suffice it to say that to get him there, the Gloom needs to be cleared out.

Once this is done, Hestu will also appear here in the Lost Woods. You can fast-travel to the Musanokir shrine at any time to visit Hestu at this location.

Inventory upgrade Korok Seed prices

Hestu offers three kinds of inventory upgrades: weapons, bows, and shields. Each upgrade adds one additional slot to your carry capacity for each, and the cost of that upgrade increases exponentially as you go.

Below we will break down your starting inventory for each type, how much you can expand that inventory, and how many Korok Seeds it will set you back.

Weapons

Your weapon inventory starts at ten slots, nine of which are available to use. This is because a hidden slot is reserved until you get the Master Sword. For simplicity's sake, we will put that aside and work from the nine starting slots we can actually see.
