Remember the outrage when a Call of Duty leaker disclosed that Warzone 2 will remove Loadout Drops? Well, they seem to be returning, but with a major change to their gameplay in Battle Royale mode. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about Loadout Drops returning in Warzone 2.

Warzone 2: What Are Loadout Drops?

With the launch of Modern Warfare 2 on 28th October, the reviews have been somewhat mixed. With a 78 Metascore, and 5.4 User Score, is removing the Loadout Drops one of the many mixed reasons why gamers aren’t rating it higher?

Loadout Drops in Warzone give players the opportunity to call in packages that contain all of the Loadouts that you set up in the pre-game menus.

Allowing up to 9 different customised loadout drop options, CoD leakers have revealed that Loadout Drops will be returning to give gamers the chance to load in their custom various weapons, equipment and perks.

With its new map of Al Mazrah in Battle Royale mode leakers have taken to Twitter to unveil what is to come. Z League has revealed that Call of Duty will be returning the Loadout Drops by publishing the UI that pops up when you interact with drops. But that is not the only thing that has leaked in the past few days. CoD leaker, TheGhostOfHope, has disclosed that Loadout Drops in Warzone 2.0 will be a free world drop, meaning that players won’t be able to buy them, but you will still be able to buy base weapons, find base weapons on the ground, find attachments on the ground and equally buy attachments for weapons too.

If these leaks are true, this will be a huge change for the game with many via Twitter backlashing Infinity Ward for this decision. However, equally many may say it’s a huge win as it will enhance the competition in the game to secure your very own customised weapon.

With all leaks, we will keep an eye on updates and be sure to update this article as and when relevant information becomes available. But in the meantime, be sure to get your hands on Modern Warfare 2 and be ready for the launch of Warzone 2 when it goes live on Wednesday 16th November.
