How to unlock the Tekken 8 secret ending
Tekken 8 has a secret ending to The Dark Awakens story mode, and we know how to get it. If you have finished Tekken 8's story, you might have noticed a pair of videos in the gallery that seem to be an alternate ending to the story.
The secret ending says you must beat the game "with the specified conditions", but what those conditions are is never specified.
SPOILER WARNING: This guide does not spoil the secret ending, but it does mention details of the final fight of the game. We recommend finishing the game with the regular ending first if you have not done so yet.
Tekken 8 secret ending conditions
To unlock the secret ending, you need to let Kazuya win at the very end of the fight. This is pretty tricky, if he beats you any time before the final round you will get a game over and have to try again. Also, there are six rounds to the fight and they aren't well sign-posted, so learning exactly how to do this is the key.
The final round of the fight comes after Jin has gone through the Mishima and Kazama styles, and reverts to his own fighting style with a blend of both. You'll know you're in the final round because Kazuya will have permanent Rage active, meaning his life bar will be glowing red.
Click to enlargeOnce you get to this point in the fight, do everything you can to lose. This is more difficult than it sounds, as Jin will periodically auto-parry moves and deal damage. To help Kazuya hit you, move towards him constantly, and use plenty of dashes. More annoying is the fact that this is the only part of the fight where, if you lose all your health, you are granted an extra bar of life.
