Street Fighter 6's commentators bring a bit of that real-life tournament feel to your matches, and is just one of the many new features that bring SF6 into a new generation.

These commentators are an optional addition that adds some of the fighting genre's most recognisable voices into the game. So, here is everything you need to know about who features in the English and Japanese cast of Street Fighter 6 commentators.

Here are all of the commentators who you can have talking over your matches in Street Fighter 6. There are two groups of commentators, English-speaking and Japanese-speaking commentators.

English Commentators Japanese Commentators
Steve "Tasty Steve" Scott (play-by-play) Ryutaro "Aru" Noda (play-by-play)
Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez (play-by-play) Kosuke Hiraiwa (play-by-play)
Thea Trinidad (colour) His Excellency Demon Kakka (colour)
James "jchenzor" Chen (colour) Hikaru Takahashi (colour)

The commentators are broken down into two categories, play-by-play, and colourPlay-by-play commentators call the action as it happens, like a running commentary of everything that happens. Colour commentators are there to back them up, and add their own flair to the commentary team.

Whenever you watch events like the Capcom Pro Tour, you're hearing play-by-play information on what's happening on screen. Capcom is hoping to help beginners to the game and add authenticity to each match by adding commentators.

"The commentators will also get more and more excited as the match heats up, and also deliver easy-to-understand explanations of the game, making it a great learning tool for beginners," says Capcom on the official Street Fighter 6 website.

With that in mind, here is every Street Fighter 6 commentator in the game.

  • Steve "TastySteve" Scott- This experienced eSports commentator is a pro and has established himself at EVO and Capcom Pro Tour, in addition to live television broadcasts.
  • Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez - This Southern California commentator has always had a love for Street Fighter. He does commentary for the Street Fighter League and the Capcom Pro Tour.
  • James "jchensor" Chen - Known for helping build the fighting game scene, James Chen is a known commentator for the Capcom Cup, EVO, and the ARC World Tour. He also has a channel called UltraChenTV, in which he discusses fighting game mechanics and interviews notable figures in the FGC such as EVO co-founders Tom and Tony Cannon.
  • Thea Trinidad - Otherwise known as WWE's Zelina Vega, she provides her wrestling know-how to Street Fighter 6. According to Capcom, she's an "avid fighting game fan."

In addition to the English Street Fighter 6 team, there are Japanese commentators that can be heard in the game. They include:

  • Hikaru Takahashi - This commentator is known for winning the 14th All Japan Beauty Contest Grand Prix. Ever since then, she's starred in TV shows, radio shows, and fashion magazines.
  • Kosuke Hiraiwa - With experience from the Asahi network, he brings his commentary talents to eSports, the Koshien baseball series, and other sports.
  • Aru - This Japanese commentator has a wide range of experience with 20 years of work behind him.  He takes part in the commentary for Street Fighter events around the world, in addition to other work through radio, live streaming, and TV shows.
  • His Excellency Demon Kakka - This "Devilish Artist" is a longtime songwriter and musician widely known in Japan. He provides the lead vocals for the heavy metal band SEIKIMA-II. He also has a connection to traditional Japanese arts, according to Capcom, and has been a sumo commentator in the past.

Those are all of the Street Fighter 6 commentators, both in English and in Japanese. For more on the game, check out our Street Fighter 6 homepage, or check out one of our character guides, such as how to play Chun-Li in Street Fighter 6.
