Is Akuma in Street Fighter 6?

At the time of writing, Akuma is not currently in Street Fighter 6. However, it has been announced that Akuma is one of four characters joining the roster during Street Fighter 6’s first year of updates.

The latest entry in the long-running fighting franchise has seen an assortment of new characters, like Manon and JP, join series veterans like Ryu and Chun-Li. With these iconic fighters already featured in the game, it is only a matter of time before Akuma joins them in Street Fighter 6.

When is Akuma coming to Street Fighter 6?

It has been revealed that Akuma will be coming to Street Fighter 6 in Spring 2024. He will be the final character joining during the first year of updates, following Rashid, A.K.I. and Ed.

The timeframe for each DLC character is as follows:

  • Rashid – July 24, 2023
  • K.I. – Autumn 2023
  • Ed – Winter 2024
  • Akuma – Spring 2024
