Stray Blade minimum and recommended PC specs
Stray Blade is heading its way to PC in April. Here's how to get prepared for its launch with the right minimum and recommended PC specs.
The upcoming action RPG Stray Blade from Point Blank Games and 505 Games is slashing its way to PC systems on April 20. To get ready for the launch, here are the Stray Blade minimum and recommended specs, so you can run the game. Here's what you'll need if you want to take on this adventure via Steam.
- This RPG would be perfect on the Switch, but is that the case?
The Stray Blade minimum PC specs you need
To run this anticipated RPG on Steam, you may need to upgrade your hardware, so you can play Stray Blade on its minimum PC graphics settings. According to the Steam page listing, the Stray Blade minimum specs require:
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10
- Processor: AMD FX-9590 or equivalent or Intel Core i7-6700
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: Radeon RX 480 (8192 MB) or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4096 MB)
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 30 GB available space
It seems like 8GB is the new minimum memory you need in today's top-of-the-line games. You'll also need quite a beefy graphics card with either the 8192 MB Radeon RX 480 (around £100 on eBay) or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4096MB (£80-100). If you can't afford this, you may want to explore the realm of Skyrim before you jump into Stray Blade. You don't need a monster of a PC to play it, and Bethesda's RPG is still impressive to this day.
- Stray Blade will not be releasing day-and-date on Xbox Game Pass.
Stray Blade recommended PC specs
To play Stray Blade the way the developer intends, you'll need the following:
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or equivalent or Intel Core i9-9900k or equivalent
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Graphics: Radeon RX 6800 XT (16384 MB) or GeForce RTX 2070 Super (8192 MB)
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 30 GB available space
A Radeon RX 6800 XT will run you for between £400-600 on eBay, while the GeForce RTX 2070 Super costs around £200. Check out our Stray Blade preview to see if it's worth the PC upgrade.
