The Sims 4 Not So Berry challenge explained

The Sims 4 has many popular legacy challenges that have arisen over the years, named so as they take place within the same household over the span of many generations. The Not So Berry Sims 4 challenge is one such challenge, that focuses on creating sims that represent different berries or colours and has players succeeding at different milestones in each generation.

Originally created by YouTuber lilsimsie and Twitch streamer, alwaysimming the challenge spans across ten generations of a sim family, with each new generation taking up the challenge and representing a different colour.

Colour or 'berry' sims embody one particular colour, with their style, hair and make-up reflecting the colour of their name. Each berry will set out in the challenge with a career goal, three pre-allocated traits and a bio of their aspirations/goals.

The purpose of the challenge is to encourage sim players who wish to be driven out of their comfort zones and experiment with new sims and narrative opportunities. The order of berry sims is mint, rose, yellow, grey, plum, orange, pink, peach, green and blue.

Thanks to the success of the challenge amongst The Sims community, prominent YouTubers and sims players have given it a try.

The basic rules of the challenge are as follows:

• Use as few money cheats as possible
• Each heir to the family takes on the next colour in the list (by appearance)
• Lifespans set to 'normal'
• Career and aspirations must be complete before moving on to the next heir
