The Raft hidden achievements can be difficult to acquire as the criteria for completing them isn't obvious, and they're specifically designed to be hard to unlock, with many of them related to secret collectibles and areas. Raft has a whole ocean full of stuff to explore, with tonnes of different islands, and key story locations which are unique from one another. If you're looking to 100% the game and earn all the achievements, it can be quite an undertaking, but we'll make it easier by showing you the criteria for all the Raft hidden achievements.

There are 12 hidden achievements that you can seek your during your time in Raft, which range from completing some tasks, to finding secret collectibles. We'll list the name of each achievement along with the criteria for earning it below.

An Ocean Cemetery - Die 25 times

What it says on the tin, just die a total of 25 times.

Exploring the Depths - Dive 100m

This is a little hard, as you will likely die while making the trip unless you are far into the game and the best equipment. If you just want to make the trip without returning, while also helping you earn An Ocean Cemetery, you will just need some Flippers and an Oxygen Tank.

Not a Great Landing - Discover a Crashed Plane

This is completely based on RNG, but if you are persistent you should easily get it during a session. Just keep sailing your raft to the smaller islands, and you should eventually find a Crashed Plane on one of them.

Is There a Utopia - Find the whiteboard at the Radio Tower

This is an achievement that you should get during the story, but it's pretty involved. You will need to build three antennas and the Receiver, which will direct you toward the Radio Tower. Once you arrive, just interact with the whiteboard to get the achievement, but make sure to also pick up the Raft Recycler blueprints from the table.

This Goes Here - Place or break 100 blocks

You can quickly cheese this one by placing a block, removing it, then placing it again, repeating until you get the achievement.

  • Check out how to solve the Raft Temperance code too, as it can be a tricky process once you arrive at the Temperance Observatory.

O, Captain! My Captain? - Reach Captain's Island

This is another achievement based on RNG, but you can not knock it while getting Not a Great Landing too. You will need to find two matching islands nearby to each other, one will have the Crashed Plane, and another will have a landed boat. Once you find one, the other won't be far.

Artistic Collection - Find all Developer Paintings

This achievement requires you to collect and hang up each of the Developer Paintings. You will need to acquire a Metal Detector first so you can find hidden treasures, which have a chance at dropping a Developer Painting. Smaller islands contain one treasure, larger islands will contain two, and special Balboa islands can contain anywhere between three and six. This is another one that can be cheesed slightly, as when digging up treasure, the content of the chest is randomised, so if you save before opening one you can ensure you earn a Developer Painting each time.

Former Glory - Find four Tiki Pieces

This is another one that requires you to dig up treasure, eventually finding all four Tiki Pieces and stacking them together to form a Tiki Pole. This will allow you to grab a cosmetic mask once it is built, which then rewards you with the achievement. You can save scum for this one too, ensuring that each treasure chest gives you a Tiki Piece.

Instrumentalist - Play the Piano

Once you reach the end of the second chapter, you will be able to buy a Piano from the Tangaroa island vendor for eight Tangaroa Tokens. Once you have bought it, place it on your raft and play it for the achievement.

You Should Not Be Here - Visit the 20th floor of Tangaroa

Head to Tangaroa, and find the plantation building. Inside, there will be an elevator, and you can find a secret button for the 20th floor on the top left of the door frame from the inside. Interact with it, and you'll be taken to the 20th floor to unlock the achievement.

Boxed In - Find the room under the crane

Once again you'll need to be in Tangaroa for this one. Head to the storage area in the city, and find the large shipping containers. You can make your way inside of them, and one of the paths leads to a secret room with some crates and Titanium Ore.

The Renovator - Unlock all recipes from the Decorator Packages

There are a total of 66 recipes you will need to unlock for this. While sailing the ocean on your raft, you will sometimes come across floating barrels, each of which have a package inside. It will take some time to collect each one, but continuing this method will eventually get you there.

That's all for our breakdown of how to unlock each of the Raft hidden achievements.

We also have a breakdown of the Raft Juicer and all its smoothie recipes, which provide bonuses when drank.
