Pokemon Scarlet and Violet allows you to complete the game's multiple story paths in whatever order you want. However, even though the gym path amongst the three paths can be completed in whichever order you like, each gym is still at a set level like previous games. So, some gym leaders are absolutely more powerful than others. Since none of these are scaled depending on the player's level, it is ideal to take them on in a certain order if you want a challenge that is neither too hard nor easy. Let's get into the best Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gym order.

In the table below, please find the exact order of gyms you should take on in Scarlet and Violet from first to last - along with each gym's type and level range. For example, you should take on Scarlet and Violet's Cortondo Bug-type gym first, then the Glaseado's Ice-type gym last. This is the ideal order if you want a challenge that is still as balanced as possible whilst playing through this and the other story paths in the game.

Gym Type Level
Cortondo  Bug 14-15
Artazon Grass 16-17
Levincia Electric 23-34
Cascarrafa Water 29-30
Medali Normal 35-36
Montenevera Ghost 41-42
Tulip Psychic 44-45
Glaseado Ice 47-48
