In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the latest Pikachu clone, Pawmi is available from the first route. What's more, the electric-type mouse first evolves as soon as level 18 into the fighting-type hybrid, Pawmo. Getting Pawmi's final evolution, however, Pawmot is a bit more elusive for uninformed players. Here is everything you need to know with our guide answering the question, "when does Pawmo evolve into Pawmot?".

Pawmi doesn't evolve into Pawmo until level 18. However, the next evolution stage can be far sooner by comparison. Pawmo can evolve into Pawmot as soon as level 19. That is thanks to a new evolution mechanic unique to Scarlet and Violet, requiring the Pokemon in question to have completed a certain number of steps.

Pawmo will evolve into Pawmot after completing 1000 steps. Doing this is very straightforward. Whilst you're outside, simply press ZR with Pawmo in the front of your party and have it follow you around. If you go too fast, Pawmo will return to its Poke Ball, so keep in mind to throw it out again if so.

You should achieve the one-thousand steps needed after around ten straight minutes of walking. After which, Pawmo should then evolve into Pawmot the next time it levels up. If Pawmo doesn't evolve, just have it keep walking with you for a few more minutes and try again.

That's a wrap on all you need to know on how to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Whilst you're learning the ropes, check out how to use photo mode and all of the style and colour options for hairstyles
