The Survey mission will give you the chance to encounter new Pokemon and explore the hidden corners of the huge new Pokemon Legends Arceus map. But what exactly are they, and how can you start them? In Pokemon Legends Arceus, there are different groups, or corps, in the main city. The Survey Corps is one of these, and it’s led by a woman named Cyllene. The Survey Corps main responsibility is to observe and learn about Pokemon -- remember, Pokemon Legends Arceus is set in a time period before Pokemon and humans lived in harmony. 

These Survey Requests will come from various people around town, and they’re observations of things you’ll see in the wild. The example that the trailer uses is seeing a Wurmple evolve, which might mean that you have to catch and evolve a Wurmple.

Each Survey Request will have a specific thing you’ll need to do when you’re out adventuring. It seems like the open-world Pokemon area will be taken on like an expedition, similar to the Pokemon Snap game.

You’ll accept your Survey Request(s) and set out to an area around the Hisui Region. From there, the open-world Pokemon madness begins, and you can catch and observe Pokemon that’s in the area you chose.

You can also buy and craft items while you’re out exploring from a base camp that’s set up whenever you head out. This includes things like Pokeballs and Potions, giving you ways to explore until your heart’s content -- you won’t be held back by low-health Pokemon in your party.

Pokemon Legends Arceus Survey Requests: What To Watch Out For

When you’re out fulfilling your Survey Requests, you’ll need to be careful. Pokemon can attack you directly in the overworld map, which can cause you to black out and return to your camp. It looks like the Pokemon who can attack you use predictable, repetitive moves, so learning how a Pokemon attacks will help keep you safe.

According to one of the trailers, turning in Survey Requests is easy. All you need to do is talk to the person who gave you the Survey Quest after it’s completed. 

You should be able to accept a few Survey Requests at a time. There should also be some type of map that should help you turn your Survey Requests in so that you don’t have to remember every person you speak with.
