To celebrate Routes, Mateo, a researcher who loves to travel, is joining Pokemon GO and he's brought the A Route to New Friendships Special Research story with him!
Completing this brand-new Special Research story will help you better understand Pokemon GO's freshest face, and you can earn some great rewards while you're at it. Here's everything you need to know about the new quest in the augmented reality mobile game from Niantic.

The tasks and rewards for Step 4 are unknown at the time of writing, because you can only exchange one Gift with Mateo per day. We will update this guide as soon as the details surface!
How to get the A Route to New Friendships Special Research story
Click to enlargeTo get the A Route to New Friendships Special Research story, you simply need to log in to the game during the Along the Routes event. You have until Friday, December 8, 2023, at 8pm local time to do this.
However, once you've got the quest, the Special Research tasks will remain available to complete indefinitely, so you can work through the tasks at your own pace.
