Mega Medicham has returned to Raid Battles in Pokemon GO, and we've got the best counters to ensure you have the best chance of taking it down.

This particular Pokemon debuted in the Hoenn region in Gen 3, then received a Mega Evolution in Gen 6 with Pokemon X & Y - and now it's available in Pokemon GO! So if you want to get your hands on your own Mega Medicham in the game, keep reading.

Mega Medicham weaknesses in Pokemon GO

Mega Medicham is a Psychic/Fighting-type Pokemon, so it's weak to Flying, Ghost and Fairy-type attacks. Using Pokemon with attacks that match these types is the best way to succeed in the Raid.

However, you should be aware that some Pokemon with these moves may be weak to the Psychic or Fighting-type attacks that Mega Medicham can use. As long as you have a team of six varied Pokemon with strong attacks, you should be fine.

Best counters to defeat Mega Medicham

Here's a list of some of the best counters you should use to take down Mega Medicham. If you have any Mega or Shadow versions of these Pokemon, I recommend using those as they'll be even stronger:

These Pokemon all have very favourable match-ups when fighting Mega Medicham due to their typings and moves. You'll also want to make sure they have high enough CP to deal a good amount of damage in the Raid.

Can you get a Shiny Mega Medicham in Pokemon GO?

In short, yes, you can get a Shiny version of Mega Medicham in Pokemon GO. Every time you defeat one in a Raid gives you a chance of catching a Shiny Medicham, but it'll be pretty difficult to find one.

You can also get a Shiny Medicham by finding a Shiny Meditite in the wild and catching it. Evolving this will grant you a Shiny Medicham, which you can then Mega Evolve if you have enough Mega Energy to do so.

And that just about covers everything you need to know about Mega Medicham in Pokemon GO!
