The fast catch method is one of the most effective ways to catch Pokemon quickly in Pokemon GO. Let's take a look at how to do it and what benefits you'll get by learning how to use this method for catching pokemon.

How to do fast catch

To fast catch, you'll want to slide your right thumb near the Poke Ball icon on the right of the screen. Don't open the menu - instead, slide it a bit to the left.

With your other hand, throw a Poke Ball at the Pokemon you want to catch. If you hit it, let go of the Poke Ball icon from the first step and select the "Run" icon at the top of the screen. With a bit of luck, you'll nail the timing and you'll catch the Pokemon quicker than you would've normally.

This method used to be quicker, but it now only saves a few additional seconds. Also, there's no guarantee you'll catch the Pokemon so using high-quality Poke Balls like Ultra Balls is recommended if you can spare them. You can also use berries to increase your chances.

Pokemon GO has a variety of special tricks you can perform when catching Pokemon. Fast catching is one of these tricks, and it's a newer one that wasn't already possible in the history of the game.

Fast catching is, you guessed it, a faster way to catch Pokemon. It allows you to catch Pokemon more quickly when you're on the go and it's a big help whenever there are a lot of Pokemon around you and you need to catch them all.

It only saves a couple of seconds overall, but for players who want to catch as quickly as possible, it's worth learning. It's particularly helpful if you're surrounded by Shiny Pokemon and you're worried about not catching them all in time.
