Pokemon GO's current season is coming to an end, and Adventures Abound is right around the corner. This new season is shaping up to be a big one, with a whole new generation making its debut in the game.

This new season is expected to have a host of new Pokemon, a bunch of new events and more for players to experience. Here's everything we know so far about Pokemon GO Adventures Abound!

Pokemon GO Adventures Abound start and end date

As for the season's release date, it's expected to begin on September 1st. The Season of Hidden Gems ends on August 31st, and the next season should start right after that. It's expected to run for three months until November 30th, 2023.

There will be lots of events during this season too, including a variety of Community Day events. A new Community Day Classic takes place on September 2nd, while other Community Days will take place on September 23rd, October 15th, November 5th and November 25th. Various unannounced events are also scheduled in the weeks between these Community Day events.

Is Paldea coming to Pokemon GO with Adventures Abound?

Niantic recently teased the new season of Pokemon GO, Adventures Abound, on social media. The post shows the shadow of a dancing Pokemon - Quaquaval, the evolved form of the ninth-generation starter Quaxly.

Clearly, this is teasing the introduction of the ninth generation, Paldea, in Pokemon GO. That's great news for fans of Scarlet and Violet and anyone looking forward to more Pokemon being added to the game.

It's pretty much confirmed that the three new starters from Scarlet and Violet (Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly) will be added to Pokemon GO in Adventures Abound. We first learned about these Pokemon heading to GO in the Pokemon Presents stream in August 2023.

But what other new Pokemon could be coming in the new season? It's likely that the ninth-generation Pokemon will be split up across different events or release periods rather than being unleashed all at once, and there are some events coming up.

The Ultra Unlock event will take place from September 10th to September 15th. Currently, we know of four new types of Pokemon arriving in this update, but we don't know which Pokemon they actually are. It's expected that there will be a Bug type, a new Electric type, a new Flying type and a new Ice type.

This is just speculation, but if all these new Pokemon are from the ninth generation there are a few likely options for new creatures and their evolutions. The Bug type could be Tarountula, Nymble or Rellor, while the Electric type could be Pawmi or Tadbulb. The Flying type could possibly be Flamigo or Squawkabilly, while the Ice type could be Frigibax or Cetoddle. Wattrel may also be introduced as it's both Flying and Electric type.

We'll have to wait for more confirmation before we know which generation nine Pokemon we'll see first, but it's safe to say the starters will be arriving first.
