Anubis is one of the best Pals to catch in Palworld. With level four Handiwork, level three Mining, and level two Transporting, it’s perfect to put to work in a base.

There are two ways to get this absolute unit of a Pal in the game - catching or breeding - but one is much easier than the other.

How to find and catch Anubis

You can find Anubis in the Twilight Dunes at coordinates -134,-95, northeast of the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant fast travel point. This is the only way to catch the Pal out in the world, and it’s a level 47 Alpha variant, so make sure you’re very prepared before you go. Take guns, strong Pals, and lots of Legendary Spheres.

This beast is quick and hits like a truck, so during the fight make sure you stay agile. As a Ground-type Pal, Grass-type Pals will deal lots of damage. I'd recommend bringing one that has the ability to ensnare foes in vines, as this will slow Anubis down – you could also use Ice Grenades. As you’ll be fighting it in the desert, make sure to wear heat or cold-resistant armour, too, depending on the time of day.

During the fight itself, make sure you stay nimble. Keep dodging, being wary of Anubis’ dash attacks that can close in on you fast, and its ranged shots that can hit you from afar. Just keep hammering the thing with everything you and your Pals have got, but make sure you call them back to their Spheres once its health dips too low. This is a hard fight, so you don’t want to waste your opportunity to catch it by accidentally killing it.

How to breed Anubis

By far the easiest way to get Anubis in Palworld is by breeding it – something you can do relatively early in the game, as low as level 19. There are multiple Pals you can breed to guarantee an Anubis, but Chillet and Quivern are by far the most accessible early on.

Simply build a Breeding Farm, bake a cake, and chuck a Chillet and Quivern into their new home – just make sure one is male and the other is female.

You can farm relatively weak Alpha versions of these Pals near your original spawn point. I found a level 11 Alpha Chillet at 173, -418, north of the Grassy Behemoth Hills fast travel spot, and a level 23 Alpha Quivern at -255, -131, at the Sealed Realm of Winged Tyrant fast travel point, just southwest of Anubis’ Twilight Dunes.

You can keep re-catching these Pals to get ones with desirable traits you’d like to pass down to your Anubis. I’d recommend ones that make it a better worker: anything that improves work or movement speed.

You can also breed these Pals to get a wee baby Anubis:

  • Penking and Bushi
  • Rushoar and Suzaku Aqua
  • Jormuntide and Kitsun
  • Broncherry and Relaxaurus
  • Tombat and Ragnahawk
  • Gobfin and Suzaku
  • Celeray and Menasting

And that's everything you need to know! Enjoy your new Anubis, it certainly seems to be one of the most popular Pals out there.
