While the MW2 update 1.08 patch notes are a bit of a mystery right now, there are some changes that have been officially confirmed, and some others that we can take a good guess at. Some players have been quite frustrated with the number of bugs or issues in Modern Warfare 2, so they will be delighted to see that the first patch has dropped into the game. The official MW2 update 1.08 patch notes have finally been fully revealed, giving us the details of everything that has been updated and changed in the latest version of the game.

Here's a full list of the MW2 update 1.08 patch notes for you to look over:

  • Addressed a number of crashes across all platforms, including the bug that caused players in parties to crash when matchmaking
  • Fixed various camos not unlocking during progression
  • Fixed framerate drop issues
  • Addressed known freezing issues
  • Overall performance improvements
  • Fixed stuttering and lag issues
  • Nvidia driver hotfix has been released to deal with the flashing corruption that appeared on screen. The hotfix driver version 526.61 can be downloaded here
  • PC Benchmark map now has a more accurate reading of the FPS display
  • Infinity Ward are actively collecting weapon performance and usage data and will provide more balancing details at the start of Season One (November 16)
  • Reenabled the Weapon Tuning feature in the Gunsmith
  • Enemy live ping will remain disabled until the launch of Season One
  • Player icon in the minimap will no longer disappear after a player is revived in certain modes
  • Breenbergh Hotel has been added to the Third Person Moshpit
  • Certain exploits and geometry bugs on maps have been patched
  • UI and UX are being refined, and more details will be available when Season One launches

Infinity Ward have also acknowledged a number of issues that they are currently working on, but don't have a fix for quite yet. They are:

  • Riot shield invincibility bug
  • DDOS Field Upgrade availability bug
  • Helicopter bug where they were able to leave the map

The update has been pushed live now though and is available for download on all platforms. The size of the download on each platform does vary, with PC and PlayStation players being treated to 500MB and 860MB downloads respectively, whereas Xbox players have to deal with a whopping 49.72GB download.
