Warzone 2 Best SP-R 208 Loadout: Attachments

The marksman rifle is almost necessary for Warzone 2 due to the massive distances players need to cover. Whilst MW2 players would probably prefer something like a Lockwood due to its faster rate of fire, SP-R 208 packs the punch needed.

The main feature of the Warzone 2 SP-R 208 is how light it is when compared to other marksman rifles in-game. To that end, we're focusing on increasing bullet velocity and range with our Warzone 2 Loadout:

We're looking at complimenting the fast movement of this light marksman rifle with perks to suit, hence the choice below. We also need a weapon to tear things up in close quarters, so we're going to go with the FSS Hurricane. It's fast, powerful and will help players out in a pinch when paired with a flash grenade and a healthy dose of Semtex:

Of course, the thing that makes the SP-R 208 so meta is its heightened mobility compared to other marksman and sniper rifles. You are able to play the traditional Call of Duty way far more with the SP-R in your hands than any other sniper rifle, to the point where it is almost reminiscent of using the Intervention or M40 back in the original two Modern Warfare titles. 

It is a one-hit kill to either the head or the chest, allowing you to drop enemies with ease if your aim is on point, so we want to further maximise the movement and speed potential of the weapon to allow you to take down your foes even faster.

With the MW2 Gunsmith 2.0 system, you are only able to take five attachments, so some compromises are going to have to be made, but we have come up with a selection that will send you straight to the top of the leaderboards if you've got the skills to back it up.

• Barrel - 12.5" Carbon Barrel
• Stock - ZRL T70 Pad Extension
• Comb - Aim-Assist 406
• Bolt - FSS ST87 Bolt
• Magazine - 10 Round Mag

All of the above attachments are earned directly from the SP-R 208's levelling path, so you don't need to go about levelling another gun to maximise the efficiency of the weapon.

The key connector between most of the parts here is quickening your ADS time, and enhancing your overall movement speed. As it is a single shot, you don't need to worry about any recoil debuffs. Furthermore, while some of these attachments do decrease the damage, the gun remains a one hit to the chest and head, so you don't need to worry about that either.

The FSS ST87 Bolt does decrease your accuracy slightly, but dramatically increases your rate of fire which is far more important to the run and gun playstyle. Moreover, with the ranges that you're going to be using this weapon at anyway, you genuinely won't notice any potential accuracy degradation. 

The biggest caveat of this MW2 best SP-R 208 loadout is that you don't have any sights, which seems rather strange for a marksman rifle. However, as the plan is to use this gun in close-mid ranges, the iron sights are more than adequate, giving you a clean and precise view of your targets.

If you wanted to add a bit of fun to your loadout though, you could swap out something like the magazine for the Canted Vibro-Dot7 laser, and treat the SP-R like the best shotgun in the game.

As this is a gun that emphasises movement, you're going to want to pick the perks that complement that too. Having a pistol or the Side Impact X13 blueprint in your secondary weapon slot will help you get out of any tricky situations too, so make sure to go for whichever one you feel most comfortable with.

The lethal is generally down to personal preference, but we found that the Stun Grenade is the best tactical choice, as the slower enemies will be far easier to take your all-important shots on.
