How to complete the Pyromaniac Faction mission in MW2 DMZ
This guide walks you through the MW2 DMZ mode Tier 4 Legion faction mission called Pyromaniac while sharing tips on completing it quickly.
Faction missions are challenging and enjoyable content in MW2 DMZ mode, giving a sense of achievement upon completion while rewarding players with lucrative items and boosts.
One of the Tier 4 Legion faction missions is Pyromaniac, which many players fail to complete for one reason or another. Here is a handy guide on how to complete the Pyromaniac faction mission.
How do you complete the Pyromaniac Faction mission?
To complete the Pyromaniac Faction mission, you must complete the following objectives:
- Deliver 20 Gas Cans to the dumpster dead drop at the train depot between Al Safwa Quarry and Rohan Oil
- Extract 24 Molotovs or Thermite Grenades
- Extract 23 Lighters, Comic Books, Bandages, or Documents
You can find Gas Cans at Gas Stations around Al Mazrah. And since even the largest backpack only holds around nine Gas Cans; you must do multiple runs to collect and deposit Gas Cans at the dumpster dead drop located between Al Safwa Quarry and Rohan Oil.

The next objective asks you to exfil 24 Molotovs. Finding Molotovs in a match depends on RNG, and you can carry only two at a time - it stands to be a helluva grind.
To make things easier, we recommend you equip Molotov and Ammunition Box before hopping into a DMZ match. After that, get some Cash and head to a Buy Station. Also, ensure to equip a Large Backpack or at least a Medium Backpack to finish the objective quickly.
Next, you must move your equipped Molotov to your Backpack and use the Munitions Box. Doing so will refill the Molotovs. Once again, move them to your Backpack and buy new Munitions Boxes from the Buy Station.
Repeat the process, and when you have a good amount of Molotovs hoarded, you can go to the nearest exfil point and extract out.
The last objective is the easiest to complete as it requires you to extract Lighters, Comic Books, Bandages, or Documents. You can find all these items inside buildings, duffle bags, containers, and other things.
You can complete the objectives of the Pyromaniac faction mission over multiple runs. Don't worry if you fail one or two tries.
