MW2 Campaign Early Access Time: When Can You Play Early?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is upon us, and players across the globe are anticipating what time they'll be able to jump into the campaign early access. In case you were unaware, Activision is releasing Modern Warfare 2 in a staggered format this year. Players who preorder Modern Warfare 2 will be able to play the campaign early, a whole week before the Multiplayer and other modes release on October 28th. But when exactly is the Modern Warfare 2 campaign early access time? Keep reading to find out.

MW2 Campaign Early Access Time

Call of Duty players will be able to jump into the Modern Warfare 2 campaign early from 6PM BST, 20th October 2022. That's actually a little more than a week early, given that the full release of Modern Warfare 2 is on October 28th.

Activision hasn't yet specified how long the Modern Warfare 2 campaign will be. However, if it's anything like the previous Call of Duty games, we can likely expect to see around 6-9 hours of gameplay, depending on the difficulty. Either way, the week of early access will be plenty of time to blast through the whole campaign.

There's an incentive to play through the whole Modern Warfare 2 campaign before October 28th, too. A total of 17 cosmetic rewards are available for completing the campaign of Modern Warfare, each of which can be used in the Multiplayer and other modes when the full game launches. As these rewards are unlocked after completing a campaign mission, we're guessing that there are 17 missions in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign in total. Here are the rewards in full:

• 30-Minute Double Weapon XP Token

If you want to start playing the Modern Warfare 2 campaign early, then you'll need to preorder the game on your platform of choice. This is currently the only way to play the campaign early.
