General Shepherd is one of the most memorable antagonists in the Call of Duty series, so when the reimaging of Modern Warfare 2 was announced, many wondered if the character will be coming back. Here's your exact answer on if General Shepherd is in Modern Warfare 2 2022.
Is General Shepherd Returning In MW2 2022?

He will be featured in the single-player campaign portion of MW2 and will be present in the game's well-animated cutscenes. You can see him in the launch trailer for Modern Warfare 2.
The character from the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is infamous for turning his back on Roach and Ghost after they defended themselves in a safe house near the Georgian border. Afterwards, the battle with Shepherd ensued when the remaining soldiers from Task Force 101 Price and Soap were able to get revenge for their fallen allies. It was a close fight, but the quick-time event scene ended the game in epic fashion as a knife hit Shepherd in the head.
If General Shepherd is once again the antagonist of Modern Warfare 2, we hope we see as epic of a boss fight as the one from 2009. Hopefully, there are a few twists and turns we don't see coming in this reimagining of the popular first-person shooter.
Who Is Playing General Shepherd in MW2 2022?
Click to enlargeGeneral Shepherd will not be portrayed by his original actor Lance Henrikson in the 2022 reimagining. Instead, it will be TV actor Glenn Morshower. The 62-year-old Texan has starred in many TV shows most notably, Marshall Winthrop in The Resident, Wayne Lowry in the Netflix show Bloodline, and Aaron Pierce in the Keifer Sutherland thriller 24.
As for games, he has been the voice of Agent G. in Battlefield 3, Rip Blazkowicz in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Overlord in the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. With this much experience, Morshower should nail the role of the evil General Shepherd. He also may return to the rumoured single-player DLC that is apparently scheduled for release in 2023.
When Can I Play The MW2 Campaign?
Click to enlargeCall of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released for everyone on October 28, 2022. However, if you pre-order the game digitally through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Steam, you'll gain access to the campaign one week early on October 21.
In addition, if you finish the campaign, you'll gain a bunch of rewards, such as the Soap's Determination calling card, a bunch of XP tokens, and four operators Chuy, Gaz, Hutch, and Reyes.
