There are plenty of weapons that you can use in Monster Hunter Now, and we've got everything that you need to do to unlock and use each one.

While the monsters in this mobile game are unsurprisingly the main draw, the weapons themselves are also incredibly appealing, offering different styles of play and movesets to keep things fresh. Thankfully this continues into the new game, giving players a selection of exciting accoutrements to employ in battle.

How many weapons are there in Monster Hunter Now?

There are currently six weapons to choose from in Monster Hunter Now, with options in both melee and ranged categories to enhance variety. They will be very familiar if you've played any Monster Hunter game before, so there could even be a familiarity bonus there.

Here are all of the weapons that you can pick up in Monster Hunter Now at launch:

  • Bow
  • Great Sword
  • Hammer
  • Light Bowgun
  • Long Sword
  • Sword & Shield

There is also the potential that new weapons will be added in the future as the series has a number of other options that have not yet appeared in Now. We will let you know if any get added though, so make sure to check back again for further details.

How to unlock every weapon in Monster Hunter Now

Bow Complete Chapter 2
Great Sword Complete the first part of Chapter 2
Hammer Complete Chapter 2
Light Bowgun Complete Chapter 2
Long Sword Complete Chapter 2
Sword & Shield Starting weapon

Furthermore, you will be able to unlock new versions of each weapon type by collecting specific monster ingredients. These new types typically do more damage, but can have different modifiers which you'll want to pay attention to. You will also need to reach Hunter Rank 6 to forge new equipment types, so make sure to start grinding.
