When you first enter your LEGO Fortnite world for the first time, you may find that as you gather your resources and fight enemies, your tools and weapons will slowly degrade – which begs the question: can you repair them?

There are plenty of valuable resources in the game, like Flexwood and Knotroot, but if you’re going to get your hands on them, you’ll need to keep your tools and weapons in tip-top condition.

Can you repair weapons & tools in LEGO Fortnite?

At the time of writing, you cannot repair your weapons in LEGO Fortnite, meaning you will have to craft an entirely new set once your previous items break. You can keep track of your weapon's durability using the green bar that appears below the item in your toolbar, as you can see below.

When the game mode first launched, there was a glitch that allowed you to repair your items by placing them in a chest and then breaking the chest so they would go back into your inventory as good as new. However, this has since been patched and no longer works – so save your resources and get crafting.

How to increase item durability in LEGO Fortnite

While you might not be able to repair your items in LEGO Fortnite, you can certainly increase their durability by using an Essence Table. However, this will only work with the following items:

  • Crossbow
  • Forest Axe
  • Pickaxe
  • Sword

Once you have obtained the blueprint for it and created it with the help of the Gem Cutter, you’ll be able to imbue your items with Essence of Durability, which will make them last longer out in the LEGO Fortnite wilds.

That’s everything you need to know about whether you can repair your weapons and tools in LEGO Fortnite and how to increase their overall durability. There are plenty more guides for you to check out on our Fortnite homepage, like how to cook in LEGO Fortnite, or how to stay warm and avoid the cold.
