How to get flexwood in LEGO Fortnite & what it's used for
Unlike common resources such as wood and granite, finding flexwood in the massive world of LEGO Fortnite isn’t always an easy task.
Therefore, many players are having a hard time and flocking to the internet to find the solution. Thankfully, we’ve cracked the code to finding flexwood in the game and put together this comprehensive LEGO Fortnite guide to help you out.
Where to find flexwood in LEGO Fortnite
Click to enlargeIn LEGO Fortnite, Flexwood is obtained by chopping down tall cactus plants in desert biomes. A forest axe is required to destroy the cactus, which can be crafted by upgrading your Crafting Bench.
Each cactus plant drops at least 5x flexwood and you’ll need to hit it a total of nine times with a forest axe in order to completely destroy it.
Sounds easy, right? Well, there are a few things that you should bear in mind before heading to the desert biomes. LEGO Fortnite has body temperature as a feature, which means when you visit a hot desert, you’ll need something to avoid overheating.
Click to enlargeMake sure you fill up your inventory with Snowberries and hot springs to cool down your body temperature. Finally, ensure that you have enough wood to make a simple shack in the desert to protect yourself during the night.
What is flexwood used for in LEGO Fortnite?
Click to enlargeFlexwood is only used to craft Flexwood Rods, one of the most valuable materials in LEGO Fortnite. You have to build a Lumber Mill from the Utility section in your personal build menu to make these rods.
This requires 8x wood and 15x granite. Once you have a Lumber Mill, you can place your flexwood into the machine to convert it into Flexwood Rods. Each Flexwood Rod costs 1x flexwood, and the machine takes a few seconds to convert it.
After a few seconds, you will see the number of Flexwood Rods crafted by the Lumber Mill. Collect it from there and you can then use it to craft more advanced structures.
