In a way that combines racing with platforming, Kirby's Dream Buffet will host several stages for players to race around and compete for sweet treats. The largest Kirby to weigh in the end will win the prize. The game will support both local and online play, with players being able to choose between delightfully vibrant Kirbys.

Nintendo promises that Kirby will "thwart your competition using familiar abilities." As showcased in the trailer, copy abilities are in full swing, allowing different effects such as drawing food towards Kirby like a magnet or slamming into enemies from above.

Kirby's Dream Buffet is playable in TV, tabletop, and handheld modes, with up to 4 players (two on a single system).
