There are 16 special loading screen backgrounds in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 that can be equipped, but first, you will need to earn them as they aren't unlocked automatically. There are three ways of earning loading screen backgrounds currently, which include getting them through the MW2 season 1 battle pass, purchasing them in bundles on the store, or completing faction missions.

It's likely that more loading screen backgrounds will be added in the future, but we are unsure if they'll be included in different ways, or if they will always be exclusive to the battle pass, store, and faction missions. It's also worth noting that only 10 of the current 16 loading screen backgrounds can be earned, so there may be new ways to get the additional ones soon.

Below is a list of all the loading screen backgrounds in MW2, along with information on how to earn them:

  • Back In Action - Part of the Knight's Command bundle
  • Catching Air - Part of section A20 in the battle pass
  • Down the Barrel - Part of section A8 in the battle pass
  • Drop Shot - Part of the Violent Embrace bundle
  • Fanning East 1 - Unknown
  • Fanning Konig - Complete the Key Elimination faction mission in DMZ
  • Fanning West 1 - Unknown
