Kingambit is a striking addition to the collection of Pokemon that are new evolutions of those from previous generations. However, as with many other Pocket Monsters of newer generations, the method to evolve Bisharp is far trickier. For players who don't know the secret method, it is likely they could never evolve their Bisharp. Here is how to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Not only do you of course need a Bisharp to evolve, but you also need a very rare item: a Leader's Crest. The first among the tricky steps needed, you can only obtain a Leader's Crest as a Hold Item from a Bisharp that is caught amongst a group of Pawniard.

To get a Bisharp holding a Leader's Crest, go to North Province Area Two during the daytime. Look around until you see a Bisharp amongst a group of Pawniard and then catch it. A Bisharp caught this way should have a 100% chance of holding a Leader's Crest, according to its Serebii Pokedex entry. If you would prefer to have your favourite Pawniard eventually become your Kingambit, Pawniard evolves into Bisharp at level 52.

Next, for Bisharp to evolve into Kingambit, it must defeat three other Bisharp - each amongst a pack of Pawniard respectively - whilst your own is holding the Leader's Crest. This can of course be also done in North Province Area Two. Once you have completed this, simply level it up, and you will evolve Bisharp into Kingambit.

That is everything you need to know on how to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit in Scarlet and Violet. If you are still trying to fill other spots in your Pokedex, check out how to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot. Better yet, take a look at how to get the valuable Mirror Herb.
