How To Play Co-Op In Goat Simulator 3

Goat Simulator 3 is a much bigger and better sequel than the original entry. The first game was a fun sandbox that allowed you to use the bombastic physics engine to cause chaos across a diverse map, and here, things have gone turbo. There are so many opportunities to cause havoc, and you’re given even more chances to do so in the latest instalment - this time with a friend.
One of the best parts of Goat Simulator 3 is that it’s entirely playable in co-op. Up to four players can team up and explore the world, creating a path of destruction in their wake. It’s a fantastic addition, and one many players will be wanting to take advantage of. If you’re wondering how to dive in, here’s how to play co-op in Goat Simulator 3.

As soon as you load up Goat Simulator 3, you’ll notice additional spaces next to your furry friend, offering a further three players the chance to join you. Thankfully, the game works in both local and online co-op, meaning you can either invite friends around to join you or jump in online with your group.
How To Play Local Co-Op In Goat Simulator 3
If you’re going old school and want to play with your friends in the comfort of your own home, all you need is a few controllers to fill that void. As you enter the main menu, you simply need to do the following:
- Turn on both controllers.
- Hold the assigned button to add another player.
- Select the user on your system.
- You will now be able to play Goat Simulator 3 in co-op.
How To Play Online Co-Op In Goat Simulator 3
As with local co-op, it’s relatively easy to invite your friends to Goat Simulator 3. You can either do this on a system level, depending on your platform, or you can view the in-game friends list to invite your buddies. If you want to do it that way, here’s how to do so:
- On the main menu, click the Friends button.
- Select the friend you want to join you.
- Click Invite.
- They can now accept and join your game of Goat Simulator 3.
Unfortunately, from our experience with Goat Simulator 3, it appears there is no option to play with friends on other platforms, meaning you will be stuck to your own console or PC. Whether this is a feature that will be added eventually remains to be seen, but at the time of writing, it’s currently not an option.
