Goats may not seem like the most expressive creatures in the real world, but in Goat Simulator 3, they are the life and soul of the party. While the game world is home to many weird and wonderful characters, it’s still the titular character’s show, and you wouldn’t want anyone else to steal the limelight.

One of the most enjoyable things you can do in Goat Simulator 3 is use emotes to express how you are truly feeling, and they may even be required for some objectives. If you’re looking to show everyone how you’re feeling, or even use emotes to complete some objectives, here’s how to do so in Goat Simulator 3.

If you’re new to Goat Simulator 3, you may be totally unaware that emotes are even a thing. One of your first introductions to them is part of the game’s many Instinct challenges, with one tasking you to use an emote once to tick it off. Unfortunately, the game’s onboarding process never lets you know how to do this, and instead requires you to dive into the menus for the answer.

Thankfully, using an emote in Goat Simulator 3 is incredibly easy. All players need to do is press right on their d-pad, or the corresponding button for PC users, which will open up the emote wheel for you. At this point, simply select the emote you want to use to perform it. There are 8 to choose from, which include:

  • Bow
  • Buttshake
  • Dance
  • Fainting
  • Graze
  • Rear
  • Sit
  • Happy

As mentioned before, some of these are used for objectives, so it’s important to know how to use emotes in Goat Simulator 3. Outside of that, they’re great for when playing in co-op or even for just taking a silly photo to share your exploits online for everyone to see.
