Xbox Game Pass is the gift that keeps on giving, with a variety of first-party and AAA releases sprinkled throughout the year, backed by a wealth of indie titles. Any game coming to the service on day one is no surprise anymore, and with an emphasis on multiplayer experiences being added to bolster player numbers, many expect those styles of games to arrive fairly quickly.

One highly requested title for Xbox Game Pass is Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed - an asymmetrical take on the franchise, pitting one player-controlled ghost against a team of hunters. With many eager to check out Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Xbox Game Pass members have been asking for its inclusion since its announcement. If you’re wondering if the game is available on Xbox Game Pass, here’s everything you need to know.

With such a unique concept and one that’s reliant on a heavy multiplayer player base, it may be expected at this point to see Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed arrive on Xbox Game Pass. Unfortunately, that is not the case this time around.

At the time of writing, there are no confirmed plans for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed to arrive on Xbox Game Pass. If you want to play the game in its current state, you will be required to purchase the full retail release either digitally or physically.

That being said, it’s not uncommon for games such as this to get a new lease of life on Xbox Game Pass. The service is no stranger to adding new multiplayer titles down the line - including those that have been out for a considerable amount of time before.

Xbox Game Pass has seen titles such as Dead by Daylight, and more recently Chivalry 2 join the service and be met with a considerable boost in players. While there’s no confirmation this is happening, it’s entirely possible Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed could arrive on Xbox Game Pass if it fails to meet expectations or loses its current player base.
