Cloud gaming is a method of gaming in which video games are run on remote servers — or a cloud — and streamed directly to a user's device. Instead of struggling to run a game on your mobile device or a mediocre laptop, cloud gaming runs it for you via a powerful PC inside of a secure data centre.

Cloud gaming technology grants the benefits of PC gaming without the need to go out and purchase a physical PC. Also, with cloud gaming, you don't even have to download or install games to play them.

Fortnite X Xbox Cloud Gaming: Prerequisites

Epic Games and Microsoft have announced a collaboration to bring Fortnite to Xbox Cloud Gaming. You can now play Fortnite with Xbox Cloud Gaming on all browser-supported devices in 26 countries.

To play Fortnite in cloud-supported markets, all you need is a Microsoft account and an iOS, iPadOS, Android phone or tablet, or Windows PC with internet access. No payment or subscription is required — Fortnite on Xbox Cloud Gaming is entirely free.

Getting started with Fortnite Xbox Cloud Gaming is as simple as can be. Just visit on your web browser and sign in with your Microsoft account. Here, you can browse all of Xbox's cloud gaming offerings, like Fortnite

Fortnite is Xbox's first free-to-play title available with cloud gaming. Fortnite with Xbox Cloud Gaming features touch controls and supports gamepads/controllers. And remember, with cloud gaming, you don't need to waste any time or storage space downloading games.

While it may seem like there's no end in sight when it comes to the legal battle between Epic Games and Apple, Xbox Cloud Gaming offers a new way for iPhone and iPad users to get their Fortnite fix. It might be five years until we see Fortnite back on iOS, but in the meantime, Fortnite on Xbox Cloud Gaming is a worthy alternative.
