The Dying Light 2 meet Sophie or Aitor choice is one of the first big choices you'll find early into the game, and it will start the road which leads to the faction you'll ultimately align with. The choice and consequence system has been one of the most discussed features of Dying Light 2, and up to the game's release, it has been a huge selling point. The choice in The Raid can have large ramifications, and you'll want to know how it pans out before diving in. So, here's a walkthrough of the Dying Light 2 meet Sophie or Aitor choice, and how it affects the game.

Lead Up To The Choice

Dying Light 2's The Raid quest is a main story mission, so it will automatically be activated after you finish The Arrival beforehand. It directs you to meet Sophie on a rooftop nearby to a large bandit camp where she discusses the plan to liberate the camp from Jack and Joe (the brotherly bandits) and free Carl. You'll meet with Aitor secretly afterwards, and he'll ask you to keep him updated at all times.

The majority of the quest is rather linear, and you'll eventually take over the bandit camp to create a new safe zone and free Carl. After rescuing him, he will direct you to go meet Sophie at the Tango Motel, which is her hideout in this region of the map. As you approach, Hakon will contact you via radio and try to convince you to go meet Aitor instead, and as you reach the door of the motel the choice sequence will begin.

Your two options are to go meet Aitor back at the Metro Station, or go into the Tango Motel for the next phase of the plan with Sophie to liberate the Water Tower. Your choice will completely lock off the option to do the other, and Dying Light 2 has no manual saving, so it can be annoying if you want to revert your choice.

Meet Aitor

If you choose the option to meet Aitor, you will have to travel back toward the Metro Station in Quarry End. Aitor will inform you that Jack and Joe have left the Water Tower, and asks you to sneak in to defuse the charges inside and take it over for the Peacemakers. He believes it will give them leverage against the Survivors in the Bazaar to find out who killed Commander Lucas. Once the conversation with Aitor is over, the quest will be finished. It will also begin the following quest, called Water Tower.

Meet Sophie

If you decide to go after Sophie instead in the Dying Light 2 The Raid quest, you will enter the Tango Motel and find dead Survivors and Peacekeepers. You will work your way through to the back of the Motel where you will hear Aitor speaking through a radio. Picking up the radio you tell Aitor what's happened, just as Barney witnesses you.

The Survivors turn on you as you are revealed to be working for the Peacekeepers, and you must fight your way through them all. However, you will then be forced to fight and kill Hermann, Sophie's deaf family bodyguard. Eventually, you'll lose both Barney and Sophie, and must report back to Aitor at the Metro Station, before beginning the Dying Light 2 Water Tower quest.

That's our walkthrough of the Dying Light 2 meet Sophie or Aitor choice, and now you know the outcomes from selection. However, the consequences of these actions carry over into the Dying Light 2 help or leave Hakon choice.

We also have a guide for the Dying Light 2 Jack and Joe choice, which comes in the following Water Tower quest.
