The Dying Light 2 help or leave Hakon choice comes early into the main story, and is an important one concerning the plot. It comes as part of the Into The Dark quest, which is a main story mission you'll find relatively early into the game. Dying Light 2 has many quests featuring big choices that can affect how the game's story pans out and which characters you'll ultimately side with. The choices during Into The Dark concern the first friendly face you'll meet in Villedor - called Hakon - and a character who comes to your rescue during the events of the quest. If you need a walkthrough of the choices during the Dying Light 2 Into the Dark quest, read on.

Before you need to decide on whether to Dying Light 2 help or leave Hakon, the lead up to this mission differs greatly depending on the choices you make in the Dying Light 2 Sophie or Aitor quest.

Deciding to leave Sophie will unlock an additional mission where you and Hakon try to sneak your way through an abandoned metro station, but you are eventually stuck. Anderson from the Peacekeepers then saves you with some C4, before becoming stuck in an elevator herself in an abandoned military post. You can either leave Anderson to the Peacekeepers, or try to save her yourself. Either way proves fruitless as Anderson is infected and dies. However, you will also be confronted by more Survivors for siding with the Peacekeepers and are forced to kill Sophie's brother Barney.

However, if you decide to meet Sophie, you will miss your chance to meet Hakon to sneak through the tunnels, and are then required to help out the Bazaar which is being occupied by the Peacekeepers, and you have to kill Anderson. Anderson's just not having a good time of it either way.

Once you have completed either of these outcomes, you will be asked to meet up with Hakon once more to discuss your plan when suddenly he is struck by an arrow. Approaching Hakon you will discover that he was the one that murdered Commander Lucas, as he is marked by the three-clawed slash of Lucas's knuckle dusters. This will then prompt a choice.

If you decide to help Hakon in the Dying Light 2 Into The Dark quest, you will go off in search of the mysterious sniper. This will require you to sneakily make your way over to another building, darting from cover to cover, as the sniper takes shots at you any chance they get.

When you eventually get the drop on them, they disarm and warn you not to get involved with Hakon before leaving. Hakon is worried to hear that the sniper was a woman. This is your first encounter with Lawan, a major character in the latter half of the game.

If you decide to leave Hakon, you won't have your encounter with Lawan, and instead will exit through a different door. Once outside, you contact Aitor and begin the next quest, Let's Waltz!, which sees you finally get into the central loop.

That's our walkthrough of the Dying Light 2 help or leave Hakon choice, and now you should know what the outcome for all the quest decision are for Into The Dark.
