Dragon's Dogma 2 is one of the most anticipated open-world RPGs coming out, and I've got all the info you need to know about whether the game has cross-progression.

Cross-progression is an important feature for many games, as it lets you carry over your progress between different platforms like Xbox, PlayStation and PC. So, does this new adventure let players use saves on other systems?

Cross-progression & crossplay support in Dragon's Dogma 2

Unfortunately for anyone hoping to use their save across multiple platforms, Dragon's Dogma 2 does not have cross-progression or crossplay.

Once you make a save, it will be tied to that platform and you won't be able to transfer it and continue playing on a different console. Likewise, you won't be able to use a console save on Steam or vice versa.

It's possible that Capcom may add cross-progression at a later date, but as the game doesn't have manual saves it's unlikely this will be the case. That's pretty disappointing for any of us hoping to play on multiple platforms, but we'll have to deal with a single save per system for now.

How do Pawns work on different platforms?

The Pawns system is also tied to your platform, so you won't be able to use your Pawns on different systems.

When you create a Pawn, that Pawn will be shared online with the rest of the player base on whatever system you made it on. You can't use an Xbox-created Pawn if you're on PC, for example.

Pawns are used to populate your party and help you out on your adventures. While Dragon's Dogma 2 is a single-player game, Capcom wants players to experience the feeling of adventuring with friends even when playing alone - you just won't be able to use Pawns from other platforms.
