Is Dark and Darker coming to consoles as well as PC? The Dark and Darker demo blew up during Steam Next Fest, leading to a lot of excitement for the game's launch. A console version is very much desired by fans who saw the game but could not play it on PC. Here is everything we know about the possibility of Dark and Darker on console.

Console fans, we have some vaguely good news for you. According to a tweet from the game's developer IRONMACE, bringing the game to consoles is something they are planning to do.

As the tweet says, the current priority is the PC version of the game. Once that version is done and out in the world, then we will maybe see the game come to consoles.

As for which consoles, the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 seem like the safest bets. We may even see the game come to Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. We won't know for sure likely until the PC version is out.

An exact release date for the PC version of Dark and Darker has not been specified just yet. The game has had a handful of public playtests, like the recent Steam Next Fest demo, suggesting the game is not too far from completion.

While the Steam page simply says Coming Soon, there have been suggestions that the game is slated for a Q4 2023 release. That would mean sometime between October and December of this year.

As such, console fans might be left waiting until early 2024 to get their hands on Dark and Darker, unless the development of those versions becomes a priority before the PC launch.

That is everything we currently know about Dark and Darker coming to console. For more on the game, check out our Dark and Dark best solo class guide.
