The best LM-S Loadout isn't your average Marksman Rifle in MW2.
This year, Modern Warfare 2 has had quite a lot of fun with the Marksman Rifle category, and the LM-S has seen the blunt force of some rather un-category-like changes. Instead of being a sniper of sorts, the best MW2 LM-S loadout is more of the classic M14 or M1 Garand but with a very modern Lachmann twist. Mostly a two-shot kill, the LM-S borders a Battle Rifle, but it can be super fun to use.

The MW2 LM-S loadouts can change, quite drastically, with some people preferring to use this Marksman Rifle as a semi-auto SMG. But, unfortunately, it falls just short in that category, and it best used at the same lengths as an assault rifle. Admittedly, range isn't the LM-S' strong point, especially with a barrel equipped, but with a lot of recoil control, you can make an absolutely lethal rifle that will excel anywhere, as long as you hit your shots.
Starting off, leave the barrels alone, which is normally a sin. But, for this, opt for an optic first, and preferably the Slimline Pro if you unlocked it. Then, a heavy stock to have a nice balanced weight to the recoil, with a rear grip and underbarrel both complimenting its accuracy.

Best MW2 LM-S Loadout: Perks And Equipment
The semi-auto meta has changed significantly over the years, and you no longer need to be posted up in a window all game, you can move around. The unanimous trio of Double Time, Ghost, and Dead Silence will sow your rewards, and a pistol will also contribute to movement speed and close-contact engagements (the LM-S does only have ten bullets in a mag).
Bomb Squad or Battle Hardened should slot into perk one too, with Focus or Fast Hands in perk two; we've gone for both of the first options in the listed mix, but both can be beneficial. Then all you need is a back-pocket stun and semtex and you can get down to business with your best LM-S loadout.
