Baldur's Gate 3 has taken the world by storm with its release, with it standing as the highest-rated game of the year as of writing. Combining turn-based combat with the classic CRPG formula of the Baldur's Gate series, the game allows you to build a party of different companions to explore an expansive fantasy world.

The good news is that yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 does have multiplayer. You can play alongside your buddies in a party of up to four people, each with their own unique character.

Huge RPGs like Baldur’s Gate 3 are great, and considering the game is so heavily inspired by Tabletop RPGs, it makes perfect sense it’s trying to capture the sense of camaraderie we’ve grown used to with the genre.

Not only can you play with your friends online, but Baldur's Gate 3 also supports local co-op. So, if you do want to invite a pal round and play the game split-screen, that's entirely possible.

Even if you have already started a game, a newcomer can just jump into your game and experience the rest of your journey with you, despite the fact you have already begun.
