There are plenty of special weapons that you can come across in Baldur’s Gate 3, including Ceremonial Weapons. If you are unsure what you are supposed to be doing with Ceremonial Weapons in BG3, don’t worry. We will tell you what they are used for so that you can progress through the game.

If you’re struggling with the Rosymorn Monastery, then you’ll want to keep reading, as this guide pertains to the weapons that you will find scattered around the place in Baldur's Gate 3.

Where can you find Ceremonial Weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3?

The Rosymorn Monastery comes with a lot of tricky navigation and it can be overwhelming to any player who is trying to find the Githyanki Creche. However, there are puzzles to complete within the Monastery, which involve the Ceremonial Weapons.

You may come across a room with stained glass in the middle of the floor, and three plinths, one already with a weapon on it. You need to find two more weapons to lay on the plinths. If you are struggling to find them, here is where you can find them in BG3.

The first weapon you can find is the Ceremonial Battleaxe. By defeating the Guardian of Faith, you will be able to obtain the Ceremonial Battleaxe. The coordinates for this location are X:92, Y:45.

The Ceremonial Warhammer is found on the exterior of the Monastery in an Eagle’s Nest. The coordinates are X:82, Y:39. If you need to access this nest, you can climb the Knotted Roots that are on the outside. If you want to get the weapon without killing the Eagles, there are a couple of ways to do so:

  • Distract them using a Bard Song, Illusion, and steal the Weapon
  • Use an Invisibility Potion, grab the weapon and escape with Misty Step
  • Use Mage Hand to grab it and pull it away from the nest safely

Despite this not being a Ceremonial Weapon, you’ll also need to grab a Mace in order to solve the rest of the puzzle. You can use any Mace you have to hand, but if you don’t have one, there is a Rusty Mace that you can get at X:85, Y:32.

How to use Ceremonial Weapons in BG3

Now that you’ve obtained all the weapons you need, all you need to do now is place the weapons in the correct places.

  • Put the Ceremonial Battleaxe on top of Dawnmaster Vaseid’s pedestal
  • Put the Ceremonial Warhammer on top of Dawnmaster Seed’s Pedestal
  • Put the Mace on top of Dawnmaster Stockhold’s Pedestal

Once you’ve done this, a wall will open up for you, and you will find the next Dawnmaster as well as the Dawnmaster’s Crest. This will help you collect the Blood of Lathander if you want to, but you can collect that item without ever using the Crest.

That’s everything you need to know about how to collect and use the Ceremonial Weapons in BG3.
