It can be quite tricky to find out how to get every ending in Armored Core 6, as they all require the correct decision mission choices, and some are hidden behind multiple New Game Plus cycles.

It is no surprise that Armored Core 6 features multiple different paths and endings, as it has been a feature of FromSoftware games for a long time now. However, these endings are not just new cutscenes, with completely different bosses to tackle and the game's overall story revealed too.

So, make sure to continue reading to find out how to get every ending in Armored Core 6, as we've got everything you'll need to know about the decision missions below.

How many endings are there in Armored Core 6?

There are three different endings that you can get in Armored Core 6, and they all depend on which decision missions you pick in each playthrough.

Unlike many other FromSoftware games, it is not possible to have a selection of endings to choose from at the end of a playthrough, so you will need to do at least three separate new game cycles in order to get all of the alternations.

Furthermore, the third ending is exclusive to New Game +2, meaning that you will have to play through the game three times in a row in order to see this route, as opposed to doing three separate new game saves.

How to get all endings in Armored Core 6

From the Liberator of Rubicon ending to the Fires of Raven ending, check out the steps below to find out how to get each ending in Armored Core 6:

Liberator of Rubicon ending

  • Select the 'Destroy the Special Forces Craft' decision mission (Chapter 3)
  • Select the 'Ambush the Vespers' decision mission (Chapter 4)
  • Select the 'Eliminate "Cinder" Carla' decision mission (Chapter 5)

You will know if you have done this correctly if the missions 'Destroy the Drive Block' and 'Bring Down the Xylem' appear for you. Additionally, if you are going for this ending on New Game +, then you will have to make a few additional choices, which we have listed below:

  • Select the 'Attack the Dam Complex' decision mission in Chapter 1, then select the 'Refuse' prompt after destroying the second generator
  • Select the 'Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech' decision mission

You will still need to select decision missions in the original path, but the missions listed above are exclusive to NG+ and will only appear on that playthrough.

The final boss of this ending is Handler Walter, so you must be prepared to face your former boss if you want to finish the game. While it is upsetting in the grand scheme of things, this is the 'good' ending all things considered.

The Fires of Raven ending

  • Select the 'Eliminate the Enforcement Squads' decision mission (Chapter 3)
  • Select the 'Intercept the Redguns' decision mission (Chapter 4)
  • Select the 'Intercept the Corporate Forces' decision mission (Chapter 5)

This ending will be achieved successfully if the 'Breach the Karman Line' and 'Shut Down the Closure Satellites' missions become available in Chapter 5. You do not need to do anything else on a NG+ run either, so this is an ideal ending to get on a second playthrough.

You will face Ayre (otherwise known as IB-07: SOL 644) at the end of this route, making this the 'bad' ending of the game.

Alea Iacta Est ending

Finally, the Alea Iacta Est ending in Armored Core 6 is the last that you can get, as it only becomes available on a New Game +2 cycle - so it is ideal to do them in the order listed above for the quickest route.

  • Select the 'Attack the Dam Complex' decision mission in Chapter 1, then choose the 'Accept' prompt after destroying the second generator
  • Select the 'Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech' decision mission (Chapter 3)
  • Select the 'Eliminate the Enforcement Squads' decision mission (Chapter 3)
  • Select the 'Coral Export Denial' decision mission (Chapter 4)
  • Select the 'Eliminate V.VIII' decision mission (Chapter 4)

The ending will then be activated if you have the 'MIA', 'Regain Control of the Xylem', and 'Coral Release' missions in Chapter 5.

Furthermore, if you're going for all of the achievements, then we recommend completing all of the Arena battles before you finish this, as the three S-Rank encounters will not be available unless you start an entirely new save.

This shouldn't be too hard to do if you've managed to complete the game three times, and you do get the Vvc-700LD Laser Drone back parts too which are very strong.

This final route has you face ALLMIND, and is the 'true' ending of Armored Core 6, so make sure that you complete it if you want to unlock the truth of the narrative.

What are the decision missions in Armored Core 6?

Decision missions in Armored Core 6 occur at key points within the game's narrative, giving you two to three options that you must select from in order to progress the game in a specific way.

You can only select one decision mission at each point that they appear, meaning that you will have to start a new playthrough if you want to see the alternate route, and thus potentially get a new ending. You can view the briefing for multiple decision missions before making your choice though, so you have the chance to know what you're getting into.

Decision missions often have you siding with a particular faction in their cause, so it has ramifications over how other factions treat you and the course of the rest of the game. Furthermore, you cannot use the 'Replay Missions' feature to try and get another choice, as that just lets you play isolated Sortie missions that you have already completed.

So, that's everything you need to know if you want to see every ending in Armored Core 6, so just make sure that you pick the right decision missions along the way.
