Generators are a crucial part of the mech in Armored Core 6, as they control how much energy you have and, therefore how much boost you will be able to use and when.

It also decides on the recovery you get, so deciding which generator you use in your build can be incredibly important. Here are some of the best generators in the game for you to use.

Best generators in Armored Core 6 to buy

Depending on how heavy you want your build to be as well as whether you’re going to be an aerial build, as generators will contribute to how much your mech weighs.

If you’re going for a Heavy, tank-style mech, you’re going to want a particular generator to go with it. This is so that you can speed around and fire high-power explosives at enemies without worrying about recovery time. The generator you’re going to want to purchase for this is DF-GN-06 MING-TANG. This generator has some of the best EN, booster, and recovery you can get in the game, so you’ll definitely want to utilize it if you’re going to purchase it.

If you’re going for a Tetrapod build, you’re going to want to go for a lighter generator, as you want to make sure that you aren’t as weighed down, especially if you are going to be medium-sized compared to that of a tank-sized mech. For this, you want to take the VP-20C generator. This generator provides a lot of rechargeability on the boosters, which, if you are taking to the skies a lot, you’ll find helpful.

For a melee build, you’ll want a different generator again. This is because your build will revolve around you being pretty agile with limited health, so you’ll want to take the DF-GN-02 LING-TAI. This generator allows for very quick recovery, and you’ll be able to whiz around enemies with ease.

How to avoid EN Shortfall in Armored Core 6

EN Shortfall is when your EN load exceeds the maximum amount allowed on your AC configuration. However, the maximum is dynamic and can fluctuate depending on how big your mech is. The heavier the parts, the more likely you are to experience EN shortfall.

To fix EN Shortfall, you can increase the maximum amount of EN load, or decrease the amount of EN you have by changing out the parts your AC mech is using.

That’s everything you need to know about the best generators in Armored Core 6.
