With 2022's Modern Warfare 2 featuring in the same universe as the original trilogy, there's been some quite iconic rivalries in the five games - amassing legacies for the Task Force 141 characters and sparking a love-hate relationship with fearsome foes.
But just as Vanguard kicked off a season with the introduction of some rather scarred faces of old (Menendez, Rorke, and Seraph), Modern Warfare 2 now looks set to bring back a rather meddlesome menace to the franchise.
According to leaks, the fourth and final Special Ops Raid will see Soap, Price, and Ghost enrol the help of Farah to take down a villain quite close to her heart: Hadir.
Hadir set to Arrive in Modern Warfare 2 as an Operator
While the Modern Warfare reboot has seen us tackle some severe villains like Shepherd, Graves, and soon-to-be Makarov in the next instalment, the 2019 title saw us all get betrayed by Hadir, the owner of the HDR sniper that soon populated every team in Verdansk.
Now, according to leaks, Hadir will be a special Operator that will come to Modern Warfare 2 as a secret unlockable for completing all four of the Raid missions.
Hadir will reportedly join The Butcher from the upcoming The Boys collaboration, a silver-haired 'anime' woman named Izanami, and his sister Farah as the main attractions in the Season 4 Operator lineup.
Who is Hadir? The secret Operator in Modern Warfare Season 2?
Hadir was introduced to Call of Duty in Modern Warfare 2019, as a brother to Farah, but soon double-crossed the protagonists in a highly-criticised political mission that depicted the Highway of Death.
Since then, Hadir turned into a high-ranking officer in Al-Qatala, using gas agents to strike revenge on the Hometown destruction. The campaign ended with Hadir sparing Alex's life and offering him a place in their organisation alongside the likes of Victor Zakhaev.
Now, it looks like Hadir will be a prominent feature in the rest of the storyline, which will end in MW2 through Raid IV, and continue in the Modern Warfare 3 campaign. Season 4 starts on June 14, when Raid IV will be activated and Hadir will be offered up as a reward.
