Cosmetics have become a huge part of Call of Duty over recent years, with Activision organising crossovers with Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, Diablo 4's Lilith, and even celebrities like Nicki Minaj.

This focus on delivering high-quality skins on a regular basis has meant there are now countless top-tier cosmetics in MW2.

As you would expect, everyone in the community has their favourite that they keep equipped for the majority of their time in-game.

Now, players have come together to discuss the best MW2 Operator skin ever released, and there are some clear favourites.

What is the best Operator skin in MW2?

Taking to the ModernWarfareII subreddit, user Yaojin312020 decided to share their favourite MW2 Operator skins and asked the community for their top picks.

By far, the skin with the most upvotes was Nightwar Ghost, a classic Mil-Sim look for the fan-favourite character that features fully blacked-out gear and of course, his iconic mask.

Soap's Going Dark skin also got a lot of shoutouts, as well as the Dark Rituals Horangi which leans away from realism for a more magic and flashy look.

Finally, Lara Croft got a mention from a few Tomb Raider fans and of course, the Burger Town Operator featured on some players' lists as it's a little less serious than the typical Mil-Sim outfits.

Will MW2 skins carry over to Modern Warfare 3?

Yes, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have confirmed that all MW2 skins and weapons will carry over to Modern Warfare 3.

This is exciting news for Call of Duty fans who have built up a huge collection of skins on MW2 and don't want to leave them behind.

So whether you're a Nightwar Ghost fan, an owner of Dark Rituals Horangi, or even someone who loves to run the giant humanoid rat skins, all your favourite cosmetics will be coming with you to MW3.

Remember, if you're looking to expand your collection, don't forget to check out how to get the Lockpick and Zombie Ghost Operators ahead of MW3.
