Arkane's Redfall is just around the corner, and frankly, we don't know what to expect. Previews have been stunning, indicating that the vampire shooter features the best gunplay that Arkane has ever produced (and that's saying something).

Still, players are growing concerned that the game won't be able to hold itself up as a consistent experience in solo-play after its focus on co-op in its trailers. Even so, Redfall is coming, and it's coming quickly - but it's set to be missing one key feature that makes fans incredibly upset.

Redfall will launch without 60 FPS mode

For many, a high framerate is what makes a shooter, enabling their reaction times to be amplified and keep the action moving as fast as possible. Sadly, it doesn't look like Redfall will be launching with the feature.

The Redfall Twitter disappointingly confirmed the horror shooter is set to be locked into 30 FPS at launch, with 4K visuals on Xbox Series X and 1440p on Xbox Series S.

It's a massive disappointment for some, who were hoping that Redfall would exemplify the sheer power of Xbox's exclusives in what's looking to be a pretty dry year. Whatever the reason, it doesn't look like it'll be doing so.

Fans demand a Redfall delay

As a result of this news, fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment in the limited FPS. The angriest have even called for it to be delayed for its implementation.

"Just delay until the update can be a launch patch?" raged one, while another added, "Disappointing. The frame rate and host-only progression means my group won't play. I'd recommend Xbox titles launch when ready. First impressions matter."

A third concluded, "Yhese companies really need to learn from games like Battlefield 2042. stop rushing games that are unfinished! just wait until it's at peak playability to release it. people would rather wait, than to play something rushed that's lower quality."

Given the Gotham Knights drama, we thought devs would've learned. It's a massively disappointing revelation for some, but at least Redfall will be here soon in whatever form it takes. After all, 30 FPS beats the 0 FPS that PlayStation users will be getting.
