The Grand Theft Auto series has always had a lot going for it. Few franchises offer players the freedom to do what they want quite like GTA has over the years, allowing fans to snatch cars, drive down pavements, and start a crime spree that only the military can bring to a close.

In recent years, it has become clear that the game's character customisation could use some work. Of course, there are plenty of snarky T-shirts to don, but in terms of build and actual design, GTA has rarely offered more than a few haircuts and beards for players to rock per character.

Now that we're looking ahead to GTA 6 as the next step in gaming's evolution, those same fans are beginning to wonder if a similar fate awaits them in the upcoming automotive adventure.

GTA fans wonder what GTA 6's customisation will look like

Following the impressive reveals of character customisation in the likes of Dragon's Dogma 2 and Baldur's Gate 3, gamers have been questioning how other titles are going to keep up with extensive appearance editors - and they're wondering if GTA can keep up.

"How much customisation do you think there’ll be in GTA 6?" asks one Reddit user. Others are wondering the same - after all, the core game of GTA V slightly let players down with its customisations. Players have been holding out hope that some extra options are coming alongside the gameplay innovations Rockstar has made.

"Day 1 of playing will be all character customisation," reads one comment that hopes that the game will offer players more than they have in the past. But it seems that when it comes to customisation, it looks like you have one incredibly simple request that will make your lives much easier.

Fans have taken to the comments to suggest that there's one thing they want to see in GTA's single-player customisation to buff it up - "I have one humble wish. LET ME USE ONLINE CLOTHES IN SINGLE PLAYER DAMN IT," says one player.

It might not seem like much, but this change would make all the difference, especially as the game is expected to practically reset GTA Online overall. Even though GTA Online's character customisation hardly lets you recreate Handsome Squidward like in Dragon's Dogma 2, we can hopefully expect a lot more from what's pitched as the biggest game of all time.
