The Dark Knight is once again ready to swoop down onto the Fortnite map in what's set to be his latest crossover. Batman is no stranger to the battle royale brawler, with Epic Games constantly lighting up the Bat Signal above the Battle Bus.

In recent memory, there was the Fortnite/Batman: Zero Point comic, which threw the likes of Batman, Catwoman, and Deathstroke into the wild world of Fortnite, incorporated Doctor Slone, and left things on a cliffhanger that neatly sets up a sequel.

What is the next Fortnite crossover?

According to noted Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, a new Batman x Fortnite crossover is coming on October 16 - which will be well-timed for the DC FanDome Livestream. Delving deeper, Shiina says it will tie into a new Batman comic that's coming out on October 26.

If you weren't already excited, there's a chance it could be related to Matt Reeves' The Batman. For those who aren't familiar, Robert Pattinson is taking over as the Caped Crusader for a more junior portrayal of the character.

Reeves' upcoming origin story is set to be one of next year's biggest movies, so a Fortnite crossover was always going to a likelihood.

Is there really another Batman crossover coming?

While we've had to wait and see what's coming out of the Batcave next, Shiina's track record is pretty solid when it comes to leaks. Personally, we'd guess it's more of a comic crossover than something to do with The Batman. Still, considering Fortnite has usually released beefy Batman skins that look like Ben Affleck's DCEU version, we'd like to see Pattinson.

Of course, there are sure to be the usual complaints, we've seen it all before. The first Batman crossover saw the Batman Caped Crusader Pack in 2019. Since then, he's been a recurring fixture of the Item Shop, while other DC favourites have popped in around him. If there is another Batman crossover, players will likely call it out for being so close to Fortnite/Batman: Zero Point, but then again, we say the more, the merrier.
