Out with the old and in with the Doc.

While many of Activision's branches have contributed to Warzone since its inception, Raven Software has always been the frontier of the action, being the main team behind each and every update to Call of Duty's battle royal title.

But, if Warzone 2 is to be a success, former Call of Duty developer turned two-time streamer of the year Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm has claimed Raven Software need to go.

The Doc, who was a part of Sledgehammer Games' team when making Advanced Warfare, feels as if Warzone 2 will be "chalked" if Raven Software is allowed to persist as the main developer and continue to make the same mistakes as the original title.

Raven Software Needs To Go, Claims Dr Disrespect

Dr Disrespect has often been quite pessimistic about the future of Call of Duty. Whether it's claiming the Infinity Ward engine is "outdated", despite its popularity in the original Warzone title, or criticising its potential lack of longevity, he's hardly had a positive word to say about the upcoming sequels.

Maybe this is because his new studio's title Deadrop has received some hefty criticism, but Doc has said, "I hope Raven’s not on Warzone 2. They need a new studio. Fingers crossed Modern Warfare 2 is good but more so Warzone 2 is good. Because if Raven’s building Warzone 2 you might as well chalk it right now."

"If I was Activision, I'd be like, 'Hey, Treyarch, we want you to build the next battle royale experience for Call of Duty'. I feel like it needs to dramatically shift in terms of its personality, its look, and its fiction. The gameplay needs to shift," he added.

Dr Disrespect Implores Activision Not to Make The Same Mistakes With Warzone 2

"You had self-revive in solos, braindead f**king game design man. Get this game on a new team, holy sh*t," ranted Doc.

Other features, such as the "annoying" Hero vs Villians tokens are also Raven Software mistakes, according to Doc, who has now implored that the same mistakes can't be made in Warzone 2.

Early leaks suggest that Doc might not get his wish of waving Raven Software goodbye, but, if he's a fan of Treyarch's footprint, then he'd be happy to know that the new map reportedly draws some inspiration from Blackout.
