Just like burst weapons in Modern Warfare 3, Snipers in Warzone are unbelievably difficult for the devs to balance.

If they one-shot players with full plates, they're deemed too OP, but if they don't, sharpshooters claim they're useless and not worth running at all.

We're currently in an era of WZ where Snipers are wiping out foes with a single bullet, with the MORS at the top of the tier list wearing the crown.

However, some fans want Raven Software to take action as they believe one-shot Snipers are "ruining the flow" of matches.

Warzone players think one-shot Snipers are "making the game worse"

Taking to Twitter, Warzone streamer TheTacticalBrit decided to voice their frustration over the current state of Snipers and the sheer number of competitors using them in every single match.

For them, one-shot Snipers are "dominating the meta" and "ruining the flow of the big map." All this makes the game significantly "worse" from their perspective, and getting sent to the Gulag out of nowhere with zero counterplay is never fun.

One suggestion from esports & gaming journalist Jacob Hale received a lot of praise, with them arguing that insta-kill snipers should stay, but with far more penalties.

"One-shot snipers should have serious bullet drop, lower mobility, slower speeds... Combined with the speed of weapon swap there’s no real drawback to them."

Other CoD fans disagree & want "prime Verdansk" sniping back

As always, there are two sides to every coin and some of the community adore the current state of sniping in Warzone. Believe it or not, they're not satisfied that snipers are strong enough just yet, and are desperate for the return of their "prime Verdansk" power level.

From their perspective, WZ wouldn't feel right without a Sniper that could delete an enemy with a well-placed headshot, and removing them previously was a massive mistake.

"Yeah, buff them! I want prime Verdansk / Caldera back... If you're getting sniped in the face, then you're not moving enough," argued one user, with another saying, "One-shot snipers should always be in a Call of Duty game or any combat-based game."

It's hard to imagine Raven is going to take away one-shot rifles, especially with the leaked Kar98k supposedly being added to the arsenal soon. Either way, a few movement penalties would likely go a long way to balancing these long-range powerhouses.
